FED Coordinator

About the Office of the Faculty of Engineering and Design

The Faculty of Engineering and Design (FED) Coordinator is responsible for organizing, scheduling, and facilitating meetings with the departmental FED representatives.

It is the responsibility of the FED Coordinator to ensure accuracy in the submission of minutes (to the VP Internal), in addition to attendance records of FED representatives at the following meetings: Departmental Meetings, Faculty Board Meetings, Faculty Representative Meetings, and CASG General Assembly Meetings.

FED Coordinators must recruit, train and encourage all of its members to actively participate in the Carleton Academic Student Government organization by performing class talks, speaking with departmental societies, administration, faculty and students.

In addition, the FED Coordinator is responsible for meeting with their representatives once a semester (i.e. Faculty Representative Meetings). Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): formulating and distributing the agenda in advance, scheduling, room booking, ordering food/refreshments, and keeping track of attendances.

The FED Coordinator is a leader who is passionate for Carleton Academics; the position of Faculty of Engineering and Design Coordinator demands well-organized, driven, enthusiastic, and intellectual individuals who are capable of facilitating several Engineering and Design student representatives.
